It’s a cliché but it’s true: teaching really is the best job in the world.

But with so many challenges facing teachers, how do you stay happy in your professional and personal life? Michelle Auton has the answer.

Michelle has developed a three-part system to help you not just survive, but thrive in teaching.

Self-care: You’ll learn how to deal with the unique highs and lows of the year and practise good self-care every day.

Mindfulness: Michelle explains the neuroscience and benefits of mindfulness, and details practices that can help you in times of stress or overwhelm.

Tapping: Learn EFT tapping techniques and follow the scripts at challenging times, such as when you’re having difficulty sleeping, feeling overloaded or worried about an awkward conversation with a parent.

Whether you’re in your first or thirty-first year of teaching, this book will help you to reduce stress, prioritize self-care and feel empowered. This is what happy teachers do.

Michelle Auton has been a primary school teacher for over 25  years and an Assistant Headteacher for over a decade. In that time, she has worked hard to create a nurturing and safe environment in her schools for both children and staff to thrive. In 2015, she learned how mindfulness and tapping could support her to be a great teacher, mum and wife whilst maintaining balance in her life. After recognizing the benefits, she trained to be an EFT Tapping practitioner and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction teacher and has since delivered many courses on these topics.
